Artemis II crew prepares as spacecraft heads back from moon toward Earth for splashdown

On Wednesday, two days after their moon flyby, the crew of the Artemis II mission settled in for a day of preparation to return to Earth.

They grew up watching moon missions. Finally, they get to launch one.

Tonight, NASA intends to launch Artemis II from Kennedy Space Center in Florida, sending a team of four astronauts to slingshot around the moon on a 10-day journey that will be the farthest humans have ever traveled in space.
