Sibelius Violin Concerto in D Minor Op. 47

Sibelius 14🎹 As usual, playing only the sixteenth notes supporting the melody, I noticed a lift in energy when the interval changed to a fifth. Even though the left hand stays the same, that single change creates a completely different tension. That was interesting. #Sibelius #etude #pianopractice

Sibelius 25 🎹 Before work, I was just playing casually when I realized my pinky was no longer lifting. For so long, I tried not to lift it. Relax. Play from the arm. Watch the wrist. But once I focused only on gravity, somehow everything else started happening naturally. The arm moved. The wrist flowed. And most of all, the pinky that always wanted to lift finally relaxed on its own. #Sibelius #etude #pianopractice
