Bold colours, lots of pattern, colour pops and always always add a bit of velvet for a gorgeous sumptuous living room! Side note I just finished watching mad men for the second time and had forgotten just how bloody brilliant it is! Almost want to go back to the beginning and start all over again… and redecorate my entire home is glorious mid century style! Fun fact about our home, it was built in 1939 and the development was one of the first social housing developments to be built, so it has a preservation order on it to keep all of the houses in keeping with the original designs. It’s meant renovating it has been harder because weekend had to work within what we’re allowed to do but ex social houses are brilliant, well built with good gardens. Quite a few of the homes here are still social houses and as such have been kept really period in style
