Once kids enter the kid pitch realm it’s not uncommon for kids to start stepping out on pitches. The control of pitchers just starting to pitch is obviously everywhere and kids get hit or they see their teammates get hit. Because of this a lot of them will step out in fear of being hit by a pitch. One thing that I do to combat this is try and teach the kid how to properly get hit by a pitch. Learning how to turn the body to protect themselves as much as possible and also dropping the bat down so
