Multiple manatees were found dead Thursday morning at Manatee Park in Fort Myers, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. 25 were reported dead over the last week in Lee County. Orphaned Manatee Rescued: This baby manatee will get a second chance thanks to our manatee rescue and research team! Manatee rescues usually begin with a citizen report to our Wildlife Alert Hotline (888-404-3922). Staff then assess and when necessary, respond and provide the injured, sick or stranded manatee with the help it needs.
