2 classical jazz steps: Shortey George and Boogie Back. Shorty George is a classic jazz step found in both authentic jazz and Lindy Hop. It originated in the 1930s and is named after George "Shorty" Snowden, a celebrated African American dancer known for his playful and innovative style. The step is characterized by bent knees, sharp directional changes, and exaggerated hip/knee movements.
